Exciting Hospital Room

The boys were very excited to go to the hospital to see their mom and meet their new sister, although, when they got there they were pretty excited by the large and exciting hospital room.

Baby Eleanor Nancy Ward

Kimball couldn't wait to hold his new little baby sister.

Simon trying to "hold" her, and me trying to fend off his little hands from hitting her head.

She is so tiny!

Kimball was very excited to see his new baby sister.

Eleanor Nancy Ward was born last night at 1:50am. She was 6 lbs, 3oz and 20 inches. This morning when the boys got up I told them their mom was at the hospital and their sister had been born. Kimball was very excited and said, "I can't wait to see what she looks like." He was all smiles. After breakfast we went to the hospital to see their new baby sister.

Today was our regional broadcast stake conference, so I took the boys with me after the hospital. Boy was that an adventure for me. I didn't go to my ward's assigned time because the boys are happier when they have their afternoon nap. So I didn't have any help because I didn't know anyone. They were really good, but my arms are sure tired from holding Simon and holding him back from wondering around. I was complemented after the meeting on "my two handsome sons" and how well-behaved they were:)

Simon Hard at Work

Simon and Floral Design

So this morning I was working on a flower arrangement and Simon was following me around and touching the flowers. It was pretty cute. Then I was rearranging some designs, throwing away the dead flowers in a bag, and Simon was right behind me taking them out of the bag and sticking them back in the container. (p.s. Kimball just walked in my room. I asked him why he wanted to be in here, he said "because I like you." I asked him why he like me. He said "because your beautiful." Smart kid.

Simon and Floral Design

Simon was fascinated this morning watching me take apart a floral arrangement and put it back together.

Labels

Check out the labels on the bottom of the side bar. I organized the posts according to "family", or lack thereof.

Trick or Treat!

I didn't go out on Halloween because I had been sick all week, but I was well enough to pass out candy so that Aaron's family could go out trick or treating together.

The baby is due by the end of this week!

Sorry about cutting off your head Aaron, it was dark and I couldn't see.
(you notice there is only one pumpkin there...)

Noah's Ark
If you can't tell, Kimball is a dog, Simon a giraffte, Sarah an Elephant, and Aaron is Noah.

Trick or Treat!

Carving Pumpkins

So I didn't really get any good pictures of carving the pumpkins, I was too busy cleaning out the guts. Kimball really enjoyed listening to the scary music and sounds on a CD Sarah had. Kimball picked the design of a ghost. I think he was pretty proud of the pumpkin. Unfortunately there are apparently some juvenile delinquents around here, and they stole one of our pumpkins and smashed in the street up the road a few days later, before Halloween even. And it happened to be Kimball's. I sure wish they could have been around to see his reaction. He was so devestated, he sobbed and sobbed, it was pretty sad.
