Summer 2008

Okay, so I am only about three months behind in my blog. That's what happens when you have a bad internet connection, and a five year old worn out computer and a digital camera that lasts about five minutes. I spent the summer in Provo working at D.I., hating my job but having tons of fun in my ward. I took a trip to Illinois to visit Staci in Nauvoo before she got married. In the beginning of August I went to Idaho for Staci's wedding, returned to Provo and turned in my two weeks notice to DI :), flew to Illinois for Staci's wedding reception out there, flew back to Provo, packed up my car and drove to Colorado. Here I am working for my brother Aaron and his office. I have been living out of my poorly packed suitcase the last two and a half weeks and hope to move into my new bedroom this week! Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Visit To Idaho

In the beginning of the summer we went up to Idaho to celebrate Kevin's graduation from PT school. Of course the real reason was to spend time with my nephews:)

I love M&M's!

Where's my M&M's?

Boy did we have a blast celebrating Kevin's graduation. Can't you tell from our expressions as we played guitar hero?

Tagged-Eight Random Facts/Habbits

So this is the first time I have been tagged. Sorry it took me so long Becky and sorry I won't be able to pass it on, I don't know anyone with a blog who you don't know...

1. I love to pull weeds...I find it very relaxing and satisfying work. You can instantly see the results of your work, a nice clean yard area...as long as the weather is nice and theres a bit of shade. Heat and having to do it takes away from the enjoyment. When I was in Nauvoo it was a good excuse to get out of the house and have some time alone to think.

2. I have the most adorable feet, trust me. I just wish I knew how to paint my toenails so it doesn't look like a child did it.

3. I always access my blog by going to Becky's first, cause I can never remember my address.

4. I absolutely adore my nephews! And I am so excited for my first niece!

5. I love to play the piano. I have been playing for almost as long as I can remember. I also play the clarinet and am learning the guitar. My high school career revolved entirely around my music and I miss performing. I was in marching band all four years of high school. I probably have over twenty little medals for performing solos and in ensambles.

6. I love going on motorcycle rides with my dad!

7. My favorite color is pink! Even my ipod is pink and if there is an option, I get pink klenex.

8. Marigolds are my favorite flowers to plant. They are the little bright orange and reddish ones that smell a little funny, but keep the bugs away.

After Graduation Pictures

After my convocation ceremony, I dragged Mom and Dad around campus so I could have some pictures taken at memoriable places. Thanks for putting up with me! It was such a beautiful day. Get ready for lots of pictures!

I wouldn't have this diploma if it wasn't for the many hours spent in this wonderful library.

The Brigham Young Statue outside of the ASB administration building.
The New Hinckley Alumni Center! Isn't it beautiful?

A beautiful painting of the Nauvoo Temple in the alumni building.

The famous Sister Hinckley Chair in the Hinckley building.

Mom, Dad, and I outside the Joseph F. Smith building. I had many of my classes in this building, it was the building for my college. This building was under construction during my freshman year of school.

BYU has such a beautiful campus! I miss being there every day.
I was part of the last class at BYU to have
President Gordon B. Hinckley's signiture on my diploma.

Graduation Convocation Exercises

Me with my roommate Rachel, we were both in Home and Family Living.

Graduation!!!!!

I could be somewhere in this bunch, of graduates.

Elder Bednar was our commencement speaker. He spoke about learning to love learning and serving. The sign at the school entrance says, "enter to learn go forth to serve"

This is my good friend Lis, we started school out together beginning with Late Summer Honors. We lived on the same floor freshman year and then were roommates for a year and a half.

I was so happy Mom and Dad came to my graduation! It was great to have them there!

Ward Family Tree

This is an application from facebook, I thought you all might be interested in seeing, if the link doesn't work, let me know. :)

Ward Family Tree

This is an application from Facebook, since not all of you have access to that, I thought I'd upload it to my blog, so you can see our growing family in stick form. :)

Lu'ua

My good friend Faby performed in Lu'ua at the BYU Marriot Center. It was the perfect opportunity to ask a guy out on a date. It was a lot of fun, but I have yet to believe dating is worth anything...

Last but not least

We celebrated my birthday the day before I left. Kimball was going to help me blow out the candles. But it was the first time I ever blow them all out in one breath. Kimball almost started to cry cause he wanted to help. But we relite four so he could practice for his next birthday. We also had a little dance party:)

Packing up to return to Provo

It was heart-wretching to leave Kimball and Simon a second time. Kimball kept saying Please don't go, please; or, you have two choices, go to Utah or stay in Colorado Springs; or, Can I come with you please!? He is so adorable
